Medical Reserve Corps Seeks Volunteers. The NJ Department of Health and Senior Services has launched The NJ Medical Reserve Corps, a resource of volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists and others who could respond to a public health emergency such as a terrorism event or natural disaster. Any licensed or certified health care professionals, practicing or retired, who live or work in NJ can apply for membership. Other residents who have an interest can also apply. Interested individuals can register online at www.NJMRC.NJ.GOV. Volunteers will be required to participate in training and education programs.
Flu/Pneumonia Clinic. The Aberdeen Township Health Department will conduct its annual flu/pneumonia immunization clinic for older adults and adults with chronic illnesses on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Matawan-Aberdeen Regional H.S. Please enter the school using entrance near the tennis courts. Appointments are not necessary. The Health Department will bill Medicare directly for those covered by Medicare Part B. Please bring Medicare cards. All others will be charged a fee, which has yet to be determined.
Pet Licensing/Rabies Clinic. The Health Department will conduct a free rabies clinic for cats and dogs on Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Aberdeen Public Works Facility on Lenox Road.
