Library News

The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library will offer the following children's programs in October, November and December:

Seasonal and Holiday Craft Programs — The library will offer crafts programs to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Winter.  Registration for the Halloween program will take place on Oct. 20, with the craft session  held on Oct. 27.  Registration for the Thanksgiving craft will take place on Nov. 9, with the session held on Nov. 16.  Registration for the Winter craft will be held on Dec. 7, with the craft taking place on Dec. 14. 

Family Game Night — Nov. 16 and Dec. 14 Bedtime Stories — Registration will take place on Nov. 14, with the Storytime held on Nov.

Children's Paperback Swap — Dec. 26

The library will offer the following adult programs in October and November.  All programs, unless indicated, begin at 7:00 p.m.

  • 10/6 — College Financial Planning by Chuck Drawbaugh
  • 10/13 — Book Club Meeting, 7:30 p.m.
  • 10/17 — Stroke: Risk Factors, Prevention and Treatment by Raritan Bay Medical Center
  • 10/19 — You Don't Need to be an Attorney to File a Small Court Action by Vallerie Volesko Magory
  • 10/26— FACTA and Identity Theft by Karen Carpenter and Anthony Smith
  • 10/27 — Hypnosis in Everyday Life by Rosemary Conte
  • 11/7 —  Understanding Your Child Through Play by Andree Benoist
  • 11/9 —  Cataracts & Glaucoma, Age-Related Eye Issues by Dr. Robert Scharfman
  • 11/10 — Book Club Meeting, 7:30 p.m.
  • 11/14 — Protecting the Consumer by Joe Novick
