ABERDEEN SWEARS IN NEW DEPUTY MAYOR, COUNCIL MEMBERS AND TOWNSHIP
 MANAGER AT REORGANIZATION MEETING

            ABERDEEN, N.J. (1/3/2012)—At its annual reorganization meeting on January 2, Aberdeen Township formally swore in Harvey M. Brenner, Greg Cannon, Connie Kelly, and Robert Swindle as Council Members. In addition, Councilwoman Margaret Montone was elected by the Council to serve as Deputy Mayor and Holly Reycraft was sworn in as Township Manager.

All were sworn in by Township Clerk Karen Ventura. Newly-elected Council members Brenner, Kelley and Swindle will serve alongside Cannon, who was re-elected in November, and Mayor Fred Tagliarini, Deputy Mayor Montone and Councilman James Lauro.     

“As we swear in three new members to the Aberdeen Council, we also say farewell to three dear friends, Owen Drapkin, Wilhelmina Gumbs and Vincent Vinci,” said Tagliarini. “Combined, they served on our Council for 40 years. Their tireless love and commitment to our community is greatly appreciated. Though they may be leaving our government, they have pledged their readiness to answer the call to help our town at any time. We will welcome their counsel.”

Reycraft, who has worked in local government for nearly 20 years, was named interim township manager early last year following the resignation of Township Manager Joseph Criscuolo, who returned to Old Bridge to become the municipality’s Business Administrator.  She was officially named Township Manager at the Council’s December 27 meeting.
