ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP AWARDED STATE FUNDING FOR
PHASE III OF COUNTY ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT
ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP (1/15/09)—Aberdeen Township has been awarded $175,000 from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund for the third and final phase of the resurfacing of County Road.
Work on Phase III—which covers the section of County Road spanning from Cliffwood Avenue to Biondi Street—is expected to get underway in Spring or Summer 2009. The total cost for the milling and overlaying project is approximately $200,000. The previously completed Phases I and II covered the road’s sections extending from Route 35 to Biondi Street.
The New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority is an independent agency of New Jersey state government whose mission is to finance the cost of the planning, acquisition, engineering, construction, reconstruction, repair, resurfacing, and rehabilitation of the state’s transportation system.
