MATAWAN-ABERDEEN IDOL SINGING CONTEST

            ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP (6/8/09) – Applications are now available to compete in the Second Annual Matawan-Aberdeen Idol Singing Contest on August 4, 2009.   

The Matawan-Aberdeen Idol Singing Contest is open to Matawan and Aberdeen residents in grades six to 12.  Contestants will compete for cash prizes.  Auditions will take place on July 13 and the finals will be held on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the corner of Ravine Drive and Main Street in Matawan. 

The event, sponsored by the Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, is part of the National Night Out Against Crime.
