The spray park at Veterans Memorial Park reopened on Saturday, July 4th. Please make sure to read the article including the rules and regulations for the Spray Park under our "Latest News" section of the website.

The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for Tropical Storm Fay which is expected to impact coastal New Jersey throughout the day today. The main threat from this system will be tropical storm force winds, which can be 39 miles per hour or greater, and heavy rains. These conditions are expected to occur near the coastline and over coastal waters. Up to 4 inches of rain is possible with this system.

A flash flood warning is in effect through Friday afternoon. As always, residents and motorists are advised not to drive through flooded roadways and stay away from all downed power lines. All power outages should be called into Jersey Central Power and Light Company at 1-888-544-4877.

                 With regard to COVID-19, the following procedures should be followed if you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and have developed a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing.
                 First, you should call your primary physician or healthcare provider for medical advice. If you do not have a physician, call a local walk-in medical facility If you believe that you should go to the hospital, please call ahead to the hospital. If you believe that your condition is severe, dial 9-1-1 or call the Aberdeen Police at (732)566-2054. DO NOT go to your doctor’s office or the hospital unannounced. It is important that you make these facilities aware of your condition so, they have time to prepare for your visit.
                 Should you have any questions regarding COVID – 19 please contact the Monmouth County Health Department Hotline at (732) 845 – 2070 or visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website at If you need to contact Bayshore Community Hospital prior to a visit, please call (732)739- 5900.

                 Secondly, Aberdeen Township OEM maintains a Special Needs Registry designed to identify residents who may be in need of assistance during man-made or natural disasters. Residents can register for this program in one of four ways:
            • visit Register Ready at
            • call toll free 2-1-1
            • visit under the police tab, click on Special Needs Registry.
            • call the Aberdeen Municipal Building at (732) 583-4200 and request a registration form to be sent to you.
