            The Aberdeen Township Police Department is encouraging all residents to take part in the 2010 National Night Out on August 3, 2010.  Residents should turn on their exterior lights, get out on their front steps or lawns and meet their neighbors.  National Night Out, begun in 1984, is a way that residents can help prevent crime by joining with their neighbors to let criminals know they are fighting back.  It is hoped that National Night Out will generate support for, and participation in, anti-crime programs such as Neighborhood Watch.  For more information log on to www.nationalnightout.org or www.usaonwatch.org.
