Residents can also drop off their recyclables at the Public Works Garage on Lenox Rd. off Cliffwood Ave., Monday thru Saturdays, from 7:00 a.m.-3 p.m. Recyclables can also be dropped off on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Aberdeen Town Hall parking lot.
NOTE: Plastic milk, soda, water, detergent, and juice bottles (marked #1 & #2) must be included with glass and cans. Please put mixed paper in a closed container. Cardboard must be cut and bundled. Newspaper should also be bundled and tied.
NOTE: When your recycling day falls on a recognized holiday, pick-up will be thefollowing Saturday. When your garbage dayfalls on a recognized holiday, pick-up will be your next garbage pick-up day.
Under the enhanced recycling program, residents must now also include cardboard and mixed paper along with their. Like the newspapers, cardboard must be broken down and bundled. Mixed paper (including magazines, circulars and other “junk mail” telephone books, and all other paper products) must be placed in a closed container. If desired, the mixed papers can be placed in clear plastic bag.
Old refrigerators, air conditioners, white goods (washers, dryers & water heaters), furniture, and bulk items are not picked up at the curb with regular garbage pick-up. Special pick-up of these items can be arranged by calling FUTURE DISPOSAL at 732-919-3345. There is NO FEE for this service. Dept. of Public Works yard does not accept building materials, tires and furniture.

When you have remodeling done on your house, be sure that the contractor understands that he must remove the waste materials and take them to the landfill. Otherwise, he will dump them in an open lot and you will pay for picking them up through higher Refuse Taxes.
Public Works does not take old paint. You must call the county at 732-683-8686.

CONDOMINIUMS AND APARTMENT COMPLEXES: Garbage is not picked up by the Township garbage hauler. Please call your Homeowners' Association if you have questions about garbage pickup.
Brushes and branches are not picked up by the Public Works Dept. They are picked up by our garbage hauler. They must be tied in small bundles no longer than 4 ft. and each branch should not be wider than 3 in. in diameter.
Severe Storm: Township will pick up any downed trees or branches, if they are placed at the curb, for a week after the storm.
FALL LEAF PICKUP SCHEDULE
Leaves should be raked to the curb for pick-up according to the following approximate schedule:
- Weeks of Oct. 14th, Nov 4th,Nov.25th and Dec. 16th : Cliffwood Beach, Heather Glen, Santa Fe, and Strathmore sections A,D,F,N,O
- Weeks of Oct.21st, Nov. 11th, Dec 2nd and Dec. 16th : Cliffwood, High School area, Heritage Estates, Storyland, Woodbrook, and Strathmore sections W,B,C
- Weeks of Oct. 28th,, Nov. 18th, Dec. 9th, and Dec. 16th : Oakshades, Freneau and Strathmore sections I & J
NOTE: THIS IS AN APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE. The leaf truck will come on your street one day during each of your scheduled weeks. If the truck is delayed because of weather conditions or heavy accumulation of leaves on other streets, it will come to your street the following week.
‘Bag Your Own’ Option. Residents who prefer to bag their leaves can bring them to the Township Garage on Lenox Road off Cliffwood Avenue, Monday-Saturday, from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Please do not put anything in the bags but leaves (no twigs, branches, etc.).
