ABERDEEN, N.J. (8/24/10) –Thanks to the support of corporate and other sponsors, Aberdeen Day 2010 will move forward on Saturday, September 25, at no cost to the township’s taxpayers. As in past years, the event will take place from noon to 5:00 p.m., at the Matawan Regional High School athletic fields located on Atlantic Avenue in Aberdeen.

To date, over 20 area businesses and organizations have signed on as sponsors for this year’s event. Premier and Platinum sponsors on board thus far include Columbia Bank, Somerset Development, LLC, Rogurt & McCarthy Counselors at Law, Aberdeen Town Square Shopping Center, The Blue Rock Café, and CME Associates.

Sponsorships are still available for this year’s event. With four levels of sponsorship ranging in price from $250 to $1,000, opportunities exist for businesses of all sizes and budgets.  The packages offer exposure prior to and during the municipality’s annual celebration, including mentions on the township website, and in press releases, advertising and on signage at the event.  All donations are tax deductible.  The sponsorship participation commitment form and payment must be received by September 10th to guarantee inclusion in all printed materials. “Sponsorship of Aberdeen Day offers local businesses the opportunity to introduce themselves to the thousands of residents of all ages from Aberdeen and surrounding towns who take part in our annual event while also helping to bring an afternoon of family-friendly fun to the community,” said  Colabelli. 

Offering a variety of activities for people of all ages, Aberdeen Day 2010 will feature entertainment by local artists, a classic car show, children’s rides and activities, a crafts fair, as well as exhibits by area non-profit organizations, local businesses, and the town’s DARE and CERT programs. A variety of foods and other refreshments will be available.
